Deer Processing and Freezing

Serving Your Processing Needs Since 1946 | Richwood, Ohio

SPECIAL NOTICE for 2024-2025 SEASON:

We now only accept boneless meat.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our many customers who we’ve had the privilege to serve for many years. We recently made the difficult decision to stop processing whole deer carcasses or meat with bones. However, we will continue to process your clean, boneless deer meat into any of our quality products, along with several new exciting options, provided it meets these criteria:

• Must have a valid confirmation number

• Meat must be fresh or frozen chunks from this season or no longer than 1 calendar year old.

• No excess fat, hair, blood clots, or outdoor debris (leaves, dirt, etc) in or on the meat.

• Must be presented in clear food grade plastic bags and/or containers. Any meat brought in a garbage bag, scented or unscented, will be refused.

• Chunks of meat for sausages can be the size of your fist, larger chunks will be accepted for whole muscle jerky.

• Small amount of silver skin is acceptable.

We take great pride in the quality of our products, if your wild game does not meet our inspection requirements, we will inform you of this at the time of drop off or via telephone.

Thank you.

About Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD):

If you’re bringing in venison for processing, you will be asked if your venison is being tested for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). If your venison is being tested, your negative test results must be submitted to our facility before any processing will take place. All venison from High fence farms must be tested.

While there has been no evidence of CWD being contracted to Humans, we will not process any venison product that has tested positive for CWD.
